Stay Connected with Your Student(s) During the School Day

Posted Date: 07/27/26 (01:34 PM)

As we prepare for the new school year, we want to remind families that Indiana law (Senate Enrolled Act 78) now prohibits students' use of personal wireless communication devices throughout the entire instructional day. This means students may bring their phones to school, but they must remain powered off and stored throughout the entire instructional day.

We know parents may occasionally need to reach their student during the school day. That's why ParentSquare and StudentSquare are such important tools for our families. With ParentSquare, you can send a message directly to your 7th-12th grade student through StudentSquare on their school-issued iPad and/or school email. Click here for more info on how family messaging works!

Before the first day of school, we encourage every family to:

  • Download the ParentSquare app.
  • Set your notification preferences so you receive messages when/how you want.
  • Choose your preferred language.
  • Make sure your student logs into StudentSquare on their school-issued iPad.
For urgent or emergency situations, please continue to contact your school's front office, and they will ensure your message reaches your student promptly.
